Barry Briercliffe is a singer/songwriter from Liverpool. He has been active on the music scene for the last 10 years and during that time has gigged extensively across Merseyside and the Northwest of England.
He takes his influences from such artists as: David Gray, Radiohead, Travis, Lighthouse Family, R.E.M. and John Martyn.
In 2008 Liverpool city council wrote – “Barry’s strong soulful voice coupled with great lyrics and quirky use of a loop pedal enable him to build up sounds, rhythms and layers of voices that will excite and inspire any audience”
In 2010 Barry performed some special shows in Genova, Italy with Italian Police tribute band Miss Gradenko. The shows sparked off a collaboration seeing the band and Barry perform shows in Liverpool and Italy. In 2012 the lead guitarist from Miss Gradenko Adriano Arena performed a special acoustic tour with Barry and aswell as gigging, a CD was recorded.
April 2012 seen Barry being featured on ‘Folkscene’ on BBC Radio Merseyside. The show was an hour special about Barry and his music and featured chat and songs.
In September 2012, Barry played some special shows in Gibraltar as part of Gibraltar’s National Day celebrations. The gigs were part of a small tour out there consisting of 3 gigs.
Barry has a residency on Mathew Street in Liverpool, performing every weekend in Rubber Soul and Eric’s
